Launch of the LOE book – ‘Women in Inishowen Heritage’

Lands of Éogain are delighted to announce the launch of their small book featuring the proceedings of the two events celebrating the lives of two female heritage heroes in Inishowen. The events on Mabel Colhoun and Amy Young featured presentations by friends, relatives and professional archaeologists and these presentations now form the core of this small 30 page book. Photographs of both women feature and we are grateful to the Tower Museum, Derry for permission to reprint photos from the Colhoun Archive and also to Rachel Magowan and family for permission to publish photos from Amy Young’s personal photo album, some of which have never before been published.

The book will be launched by local historian and member of Lands of Éogain Sean Beattie and will be available for sale at a cost of €5. So why not come along to this event for a chance to chat and celebrate our local heroes.
